Cheddar receives transmissions from Stockland Hill near Exeter (Devon and Cornwall based programming). Some parts of the village can also receive a signal from the Mendip transmitter (for Bristol based programming, which is also provided via Sky satellite dishes).

Both are digital only from April 2010 and the old analogue Cheddar relay will thus be redundant.

Despite publicity on this site, around the village and on Facebook, Cheddar has got nowhere near enough votes unfortunately, so we will have to wait a little longer for super fast broadband.
